Batman's Police Vans

Spotted: two new, somewhat exaggerated-looking Ford Police Vans. From a distance, they looked like swat team units, but upon closer inspection, show no signs of utility or armor, just comic-features and... batman logos over the headlight covers, grille and echos of a bat in the visors. Brand new, handmade, and definitely expensive, these two are not props, but working, detailed and special vehicles. With the last Batman movie over, any idea what they could be for?

Still clean and new underneath

With a huge inverter, these truck are fully functional and must be somewhat finished inside as well.

These are on the heavy-duty frames and are four-wheel-drive as well.

The foldout platforms suggest these will be used with people hanging on to the sides.

Batman! Nice detail work.

The huge cost of these two vehicles tells me that this is not someone who wanted a batman-themed toy vehicle.

Are those battering rams on the sides?

Even the visor looks batman-esque.

The chunky steel bodies look toy-like but very solidly built. Whoever made them chose new Ford F-450 or F-550 models to base these two on. Based on the lack of a Urea tank, I believe these are gas-powered models. With a starting price of around $35k each, the chassis were an investment, but to then have a significant amount of man-hours into the custom bodies, these two must play a central role in whatever film or marketing they are destined for.
